Hi Abbigail,

 I'm mad for cycling. Don't own a car; never have. I try to get out on my bicycle at least once a day to enjoy a ride for at least half an hour. It's a great way to de-stress, get the blood moving, and enjoy what Nelson has to offer.

Here are some photos from a recent evening ride that took me south along the waterfront to Tahunanui Beach. You'll see the boardwalk that takes the bike trail ride beside the estuary. It's a dog-friendly beach, and a few happy hounds can be seen splashing and playing at any time of day, all year round, their owners following behind.

The last photo shows the view from Princes Drive Lookout. To get there, I have to push uphill from the beach area along a twisting street that passes many lovely homes with gardens and enviable views of the sea.
